What about North Korea

Democratic People’s Republic of Korea also known as North Korea is the most isolated country in the world since 1955. Can you imagine living under "Juche"? "Juche" follows ideology of self-reliance. This self-reliance means, when you have truck running on gas and you don't have any gas left, you have to rely on yourself and find out how to make it work without it... If you want to know more how it looks like in North Korea look up some documentaries on youtube.

You can start with this BBC Life in North Korea. Watch out! It smells like propaganda.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:

Sébastien Léger effectively hands the keys of his Mistakes Music label to his fans today, with an exciting new remix contest run on Findremix!

The Frenchman is offering aspiring electronic music producers the chance to remix his 2008 hit ‘Majuro‘ for his high profile label. The single is one of the biggest releases in the imprint’s history. “‘Majuro’ is a real Mistakes Music classic, both in terms of sales and also in terms of impact,” said Sébastien Léger from his Amsterdam studio.

“It’s timeless record and it has a great melody, so I think it will make for a really interesting remix competition.”

Léger hopes to find at least two winning remixes from the entrants, and potential dance music glory awaits them. As he explained, “I really hope to discover some exciting new producer talent through this remix contest. It would be great if the winner or winners also had their own tracks that we could release through the label later, so we could do more with them in the future. This remix contest is a really good opportunity to get a foot in the door.”

Sébastien Léger will listen to every single remix and will choose the winner/winners himself, so what exactly is the Mistakes Music boss looking for? “‘Majuro’ has a very obvious melody to it. I’m looking for originality with that melody – don’t just use it as it is. Use the melody creatively so it surprises both me and the dancefloor,” he said.”I’m also looking for a finished product. It has to have a tight mixdown so that it sounds as perfect as possible.”

As well as having their remix released on Mistakes Music, the winner/winners will also get their hands on a whole heap of great prizes from Propellerhead, SoundCloud, iZotope, Ohmforce, and PrimeLoops.

Closing date for submissions is July 31st 23:59:59 GMT+1 (Central European Time).
